Tony’s Chocolonely is a Dutch chocolate company renowned for its commitment to producing 100% slave-free chocolate and for its bold, innovative flavors. The brand is dedicated to sustainability and a fair cocoa supply chain. Founded in 2005, Tony’s quickly grew into one of the most recognizable chocolate brands in the Netherlands and far beyond.
A major milestone in Tony’s growth was the acquisition of the Belgian Althaea-De Laet factory in Borsbeek in April 2021. By operating its own production facility, Tony’s was able to accelerate innovation and increase the volume of cocoa beans sourced under the brand’s five sourcing principles.
At the Borsbeek site, Tony’s produces and packages its surprising, colorful, and socially conscious chocolate varieties with a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and safety. Winlock will install a fire-resistant sectional door (EI1 60) and a fire-rated shutter at this site to enhance safety and ensure production continuity.
Thank you, Tony’s Chocolonely and Bolckmans!
