In 2023, Amazon.nl officially commissioned Bleckmann’s fulfilment center in Almelo. Located at XL Businesspark Twente near the German border, this warehouse forms a strategic link within Amazon.nl’s international logistics network. Bleckmann and Amazon.nl entered into a multi-year lease agreement for this purpose. From this location, up to approximately 25,000 parcels are processed daily, and in the long term, the warehouse will provide employment for nearly 170 people. With this expansion, Bleckmann and Amazon.nl are strengthening their position in the Dutch e-commerce logistics sector, where safety, scalability and reliability are key.
At this logistics site in Almelo, Winlock is responsible for fire safety. A total of nine fire resistant sectional shutters with a fire resistance rating of EI1 120 minutes will be installed. Several sectional shutters will be equipped with Liquid Lock, a specific application featuring a liquid barrier designed to contain extinguishing water and hazardous liquids. In addition, Winlock will supply the warehouse with double and single fire doors with a fire resistance rating of EI2 120 minutes.
