The Belgian family-owned company Aertssen is active in infrastructure works, lifting and transport solutions, and logistics services. Founded in 1964, it has grown into an international player with operations in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. Within the group, Aertssen Logistics focuses on logistics solutions, including storage, transport, and the handling of heavy equipment. With an extensive machinery fleet and specialized services, the company supports projects in construction, industry, and offshore.
In Beringen, Aertssen Group is developing a new logistics park in collaboration with Van Moer Logistics and Van Wellen Group. The project covers an area of approximately 250,000 m² and is being realized along the Albert Canal, enabling transport via inland waterways. Within this project, Aertssen Logistics is responsible for parts logistics and machine handling, also making use of water transport. The logistics park is intended for storage and distribution activities and forms part of the further development of logistics operations in the region. According to the plans, the project will create additional employment.
To ensure the safety and continuity of this site, Winlock will install several solutions. Specifically, this includes more than 30 fire-resistant sectional shutters with fire resistance ratings of 60 minutes (EI60) and 120 minutes (EI1 120). A number of EI1 120 fire-resistant sectional shutters will be equipped with the Out Lock application. These installations contribute to optimal fire safety.
