Bardahl is an international brand specialising in lubricants and additives for engines and industrial applications. Its story began in 1939 in Seattle, where Norwegian engineer Ole Bardahl founded the Bardahl Manufacturing Corporation and developed an innovative formula that significantly improved motor oil performance. Through extensive testing and racing, the brand grew rapidly and came to dominate the American market in the 1960s. In Europe, Bardahl’s development accelerated from 1954 onwards, when Jean Leplat became the brand’s exclusive distributor in France. Under the leadership of Dominique Leplat and in collaboration with Evelyne Bardahl, the company evolved in 1991 into a manufacturer for the entire European market.
Today, Bardahl continues to invest in innovation and development. A recent step in this growth is the expansion and modernisation of its site in Tournai, where new technologies are being integrated to strengthen and optimise production capacity.
At this site, Winlock will install ten fire resistant sectional shutters with 60 minutes of fire resistance (EI1 60), including one with a Liquid Lock application. These solutions help improve safety and ensure the continuity of production processes.
