Each sector has its own unique production and distribution activities, often accompanied by a wide range of intralogistical challenges. Complex transport systems for optimizing performance and flow have become indispensable. Their extensive integration into the building structure often presents an equally significant challenge when it comes to maintaining and guaranteeing fire compartmentation and thermal management via transport technology or transported goods.
Fire-resistant solutions for conveyor systems
Winlock fire-resistant sectional shutters are specifically engineered to provide reliable fire protection for conveyor belts, both in interrupted and continuous systems. Each shutter is custom-built and fitted with precision seals around rails, cables, and other penetrations to ensure seamless integration with automated material handling systems and optimal fire compartmentation.
EN 1366-7 classification for conveyor closures
All Winlock conveyor shutters are fully certified according to EN 1366-7. This European standard defines the fire testing method for shutters installed in openings within separating elements. The test covers the entire assembly: the shutter, the wall connection, and all penetrations such as rails, chains, electrical wiring, and pneumatic lines. As such, EN 1366-7 certifies the fire resistance of the complete conveyor closure, not just the shutter itself.
Our fire-resistant solutions
Fire-resistant shutter for chain and roller conveyors in compact openings or limited installation spaces. For continuous conveyors, specially designed sealing noses ensure a perfect fit around the conveyor line, maintaining full fire compartmentation.
Fire-resistant shutter for walking beam and carousel systems with rail-guided vehicles (RGVs), such as mono- and duorail systems used for transporting goods over longer distances. Typical systems include RGVs, monorail, and duorail shuttles.
Fire-resistant shutter for walking beam and carousel systems with rail-guided vehicles (RGVs), such as mono- and duorail systems used for transporting goods over longer distances. Typical systems include RGVs, monorail, and duorail shuttles.
Seamless fire-resistant shutter for pallet shuttle systems operating in or between racking channels. Ideal for high-density storage and automated inbound/outbound handling. Typical systems include stow Atlas®, Movu Atlas, and semi- or fully automated pallet shuttles.
Fire-resistant shutter for sorting systems that distribute products to multiple exits, such as sliding-shoe or cross-belt sorters. Typical systems include Natrix and sliding-shoe sorters.
