Mahou San Miguel is a 100% Spanish, family-owned company and the leading player in Spain’s beer sector, with a market share of 32%. Founded in 1890, the company has experienced consistent growth ever since. Today, Mahou San Miguel employs over 4,100 people and operates ten breweries – eight in Spain and two in the United States – along with four natural springs and corresponding bottling facilities.
The company also has a strong international presence: over 70% of all Spanish beer consumed abroad is produced by Mahou San Miguel. Its brands are now available in more than 70 countries. Mahou San Miguel is currently developing a state-of-the-art, sustainable logistics center in Alovera, right next to its largest brewery – which is also the biggest in Spain. Covering 69,000 m², with storage capacity for 100,000 pallets and 71 loading docks, this new site is set to become one of Europe’s most advanced logistics hubs. Automated processes, AI-powered inventory management, and a 135-meter elevated transport bridge connecting the brewery and warehouse will ensure maximum efficiency, market responsiveness, and minimal environmental impact.
Winlock will contribute to this project by installing 13 fire-resistant sectional shutters with 90-minute fire resistance (EI2 90) at the Alovera facility.
