Atex

Characteristics

Our industrial sectional doors are specially designed for this specific application in Ex and ATEX zones (ATmosphere EXplosible) with a risk of gas or dust explosions, and are certified in category I & II:

Category I
For installations operating in permanently explosive environments, such as silos, solvent tanks, or powder extraction systems. Every component must be completely spark-free, anti-static, and explosion-proof, permanently and under all conditions.

Category II
For installations in zones where explosive hazards occur frequently or occasionally, such as packaging lines with fine powder, filling stations, or in petrochemical installations. The equipment must be explosion-proof during normal use but does not need to offer protection against a constantly explosive atmosphere.

Designed and tailored to your needs
As with all our solutions, customization is key: Our ATEX doors can be combined with other Winlock applications such as fire resistance, pressure resistance, smoke sealing, or a food-safe finish – fully tailored to the specific requirements of your project.
