H.Essers is a Belgian family-owned company that has been active in transport and logistics since 1928. Over the years, the company has grown into an international logistics player providing solutions for transport, warehousing and integrated supply chain management. H.Essers serves sectors including healthcare, chemicals, parts and infrastructure.
Boom is also home to one of H.Essers’ 80 logistics sites. This existing facility is used for multi-customer warehousing, where the logistics activities of different customers are organised within a single environment. One example of the continuous optimisation at this location is the E-Desk, a self-registration system that was also introduced in Boom to register arriving drivers more efficiently, guide them to the correct loading or unloading zone and simplify communication across the site.
To further support fire safety within this logistics environment, Winlock will install fire resistant sectional shutters with an EI60 fire-resistance rating at the Boom site. In this way, functional compartmentation and fire safety are integrated into an environment where the safe and efficient flow of goods is a key priority.
