Northfreeze, part of the Cube Cold group, is expanding its presence in North Sea Port with the construction of a state-of-the-art cold storage facility in Evergem.
This new cold storage facility, designed to accommodate approximately 54.000 pallets at a temperature of -20°C, will be equipped with the latest technologies in energy efficiency and sustainability. Cube Cold Europe aims to achieve a full “BREEAM Excellent” certification for the site, with a particular focus on environmentally friendly solutions such as an integrated PV installation and an advanced residual heat network to heat the integrated offices.
With this strategic investment, Cube Cold strengthens its position as a leading player in temperature-controlled storage and logistics in Europe, while also emphasizing its commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Winlock has been asked to install 32 fire-resistant doors and 11 fire-resistant sectional shutters with a fire resistance of 60 minutes (EI1 60).
